Get the SDK
Everything you need is one header and one library.
The header
Download ayatsuri.h. It is generated from the library's source, so it always matches the build it came with.
Prebuilt libraries
Static and shared libraries for Windows, macOS and Linux arrive with the SDK's first release. Until then, build them from source; it takes one command.
Build from source
You need Rust. Then, in a clone of the repository:
cargo xtask capi
That builds the library with link-time optimisation under the
capi-release profile, links and runs the C example against it, and puts
the libraries and ayatsuri.h together in target/capi/:
| System | Static | Shared |
|---|---|---|
| Linux | libayatsuri_capi.a |
libayatsuri_capi.so |
| macOS | libayatsuri_capi.a |
libayatsuri_capi.dylib |
| Windows | ayatsuri_capi.lib |
ayatsuri_capi.dll |
Building and linking shows the flags for each system and how to let your linker drop the calls you do not use.
A complete program
host.c drives the whole ABI from C: it loads a model, sets parameters, plays a motion, runs physics and walks the drawables. It is the end-to-end test the build runs.
Licence
The C ABI is Apache-2.0: ship the library and header in anything, closed source included. The editor itself is GPL-3.0; the two do not mix.
